Now, finally, the calm after the storm has arrived (touch wood.) It’s been a pretty quiet time since all the chaos, not that we’re complaining! We have an addition to the chimp house- no chimps, a volunteer! JJ (19 from Oz) came on Mon (4th), rather unexpectedly, as we had no idea if he would arrive in November or December! Thankfully he arrived midweek so we were able to welcome him to his new home! It seemed pretty clear after the first day that he would fit right in- he’s a natural with the chimps, is another tree climber like our Balume, and got straight in there with the whiskey on Tuesday night at Coco jambos! Plus he likes to cook which is an even bigger bonus for me!
